I asked this young lad whether or not he played competitively, as my experience with that showed me that when you practice that much and get that good you would never cite balance as a reason for losing unless the state of the game was so profoundly bad, and further more that you have to be absolutely godly for balance to actually affect you. I do not call it beautiful because it is perfect, in fact it is far from it, and I am susceptible to screaming in rage and having intense desires to assault monitors when I lose to Hellion Cyclone Battle Cruiser into Mass Thor or have a Protoss perform a game of Plants vs Zombies on me, but I recognize that while those might be frustrating how absurd would it be for me to assault the integrity of the game the game that I do enjoy that it is FUNDAMENTALLY BROKEN AND BLIZZARD MUST BE BLAMED FOR THIS ATROCITY. You see when I que up on the ladder I have come merely as a humble human being who desires to express some competitive urges on this beautiful game we call Starcraft. He was confused, how could I not care about what happens in GSL? Well, allow me to explain: I responded to this as one would, by saying that we are not in the GSl and therefore what goes on the in the GSL does not affect us. Protoss and when I responded with confusion this man began to cite the GSL AS PROOF THAT Z IS OP VS P. I just finished a match on the ladder where a lad claimed that the reason for his defeat in our ZvP match (me being Z) was because Zerg is OP vs. That they are so bad that getting outplayed wasn’t even required. Hello it’s your friendly neighborhood diary writer, I have come to you with a piece of writing to illustrate my frustration with some absolute idiocy that I have observed in Starcraft, and gaming in general, and desire to burst the bubble of these sore losers who will find any justification as to why they have been defeated in a much that does not include the obvious truth that they either A.
